Dual education is a form of vocational training in which theoretical training is provided at a vocational and technical educational institution, and practical training is provided at a department/economic agent.
The introduction of dual vocational and technical education within an economic unit provides them with a number of advantages, such as:
• the opportunity to contribute to the training of personnel in accordance with their needs;
• access to qualified employees through participation in the student selection process;
• reduction of staff turnover;
• the ability to select the best candidates for employment;
• stimulation of healthy competition within the unit;
• promotion of economic development by increasing youth employment;
• avoidance of the risk of hiring an unsuitable candidate and saving time and money associated with hiring a candidate trained by an economic agent.
